One to one sessions are of particular value, for anyone wishing to focus deeply upon their own practice, for beginners who want to have an immersion in yoga practices before attending classes, or those who seek to apply yoga as a therapeutic practice for specific issues (yoga chikitsa). The benefit of such sessions is that in all these cases the practice is tailored for the individual, so that the Yoga practice is unique and appropriate for them.
TKV Krishnamacharya emphasised the importance of not trying to make the person fit the Yoga practices, but making the Yoga practice correct for us. As we all come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, ages, backgrounds etc, so it would be ludicrous to think that one size suits all. The beauty of the vast array of practices in Yoga, is that there is something for each circumstance or specific need.
These sessions can be undertaken in any of my teaching spaces, or can be conducted in the individuals home . I also can provide private sessions for small groups, say two, three or four people who have a specific area of interest, need, or who are unable or not ready for conventional class sessions.
